Priority on the Venice canals

25 April, 2008

Tourists sometimes believe that canals are like roads without rules, but boats must comply with many rules: speed limit, priority, lights and so on.

For example, on Venice canals usually boats keep the right side (as cars on the road), but rowing boat (that have the priority) always keep the left side because they need room for the row.
