Calatrava Bridge steps, nothing new

Just an odd info.
I have already written about the tricky steps of the new bridge on the Grand Canal, and I have already written also about ponte Chiodo, the last bridge  in Venice without parapet.

The funny thing (as you can see in the picture) is that this old Venice bridge “Ponte Chiodo” (dated 1500-1600) has the right same steps structure: shorter below and longest on the top!

Maybe Calatrava was not so inaccurate🙂
