Today is Saint Lucia day.
Santa Lucia was born in Siracusa, Sicily, and is venerated as the patron of eyes.
The body of the Saint is preserved inside the wonderful Church of San Geremia, close by the Train Station.
As every 13th of December many Venetians today come here to light on a candle.
